Green Chile Roasting!
Green chile roasting season is around the corner and soon you’ll be able to smell it in the air. Backyards and grocery store parking lots will become swarmed with rotating drums roasting green chile over hot flames. The roast creates a cultivation of smoke and spice that seeps through the air.
The green chile roasting marks the start of the fall season. The air starts to get crisp and Green Hatch Chiles are the just the thing to warm you up. New Mexico may have started the tradition, but neighboring states are catching on to the green chile craze. A few of our Raley’s stores are hosting their very own green chile roasts this weekend.
